Sorry but this is a no go !!!
Lastpass which i use and wanted to change makes it easy and you do NOT need to install an additional app.
Very disappointing from Nord ....i use the VPN where im lucky with, but i am very very much disappointed in this NordPass.
Would NOT recommend this add-on(edited ad), as long as this issue isnt solved or better communicated.
Thanx for the information, but you should be very clear and open, this isnt the way how to do this...sorry for my bad review because of this....but im not the only one complaining...so its better to communicate this before getting many bad reviews and no one wants your add-on/service any more ?!?!Developer response

As for now, it is required to have both application and browser extension for the NordPass to cooperate. - by Firefox user 16727068, a year agoRated 1 out of 5As an add-on, it never opens, so I always have to remove it and re-add it to Firefox.
Far from having made my life easier, it has complicated it and many a time when I've been really busy, it's caused me to have to spend additional minutes messing about having to manually type in long, complex passwords manually because it won't initialize.
The very thing I'm paying for is precisely what it doesn't do - efficiently and reliably provide my passwords when I need them.

You are required to install a desktop Nordpass app. Without that app, the browser extension just sends you to the download link for the app.
There is no portable version of the Nordpass app. I cannot install the Nordpass app on my work computer. My son cannot install it on his school computers. It would be inappropriate for me to start installing it on the computers of my friends and family who don't use the service.
So now I have strong passwords for everything, but need to manually transcribe them from my phone to the desktop. This is very inconvenient. I carry a usb stick with portable apps including Firefox portable. I would like to be able to plug into whatever computer I am using and have access to my Nordpass account, at least while browsing. This should be readily doable either through an online login or through a portable app with 2 step confirmation.Developer response

Having huge problems signing into anything. Reached out to customer service and was told my only option is to access their online info. Thought this would make everything safer, easier and more streamlined. Big mistake, would not recommend this to anyone.

- by Vil, a year agoRated 1 out of 5NordPass *free* only lets you login to one device at a time. This makes using the app on both your phone and computer very frustrating. You will also have to download a desktop app to use the webbrowser extension. Most password manager companies now appear to be putting using multiple devices behind a paywall (e.g. LastPass). NordVPN customers do not get any special offers (such as having a bonus device) or treatment so I wouldn't recommending switching to NordPass even if you enjoy using NordVPN.

- by xBr0k3n, a year agoRated 3 out of 5When working on WordPress sites, particularly the menu page it just crashes the page. Always has to be disabled so I can reorganise a menu or add pages to a menu. Logs out randomly even when set to 1 week and occasionally, when typing your password to unlock, you just get a spinning wheel that never progresses. You have to close and open your browser, only other extension I use is uBlock. Not a problem I face with Keeper that I use with my clients and team at work.
Not as poorly written as NordVPN, but close, NordVPN makes your PC FPS go to like 13 when trying to select a server and once connected and minimized allows it to go back to 240hz, or 60hz depending what your refresh rate is.Developer response

There are some pages that crash because nord pass is trying to locate a field to auto fill when no field is present. It was rare at first, but now it's gotten so often that I have to disable it until I needed it. Will be switching to a different password manager because the desktop application also has some problem that I'm not willing to overlook (particularly the sign in redirecting to their website unnecessarily).

- by HUMAN11515, a year agoRated 3 out of 5Honestly, I love this app except for one major flaw. Randomly, it causes certain webpages to slow down to a crawl. It happens on and off but it sticks around for a while and often enough that I just removed the add-on. I like NordPass as a password manager, but this add-on is more annoying at times than helpful.

It started (Again) pausing the browser windows with error it is slow and wants to know if it should wait or close. Closing don't fix it. I have image of the error. This is only effecting Firefox 84.0.1 32bit, Last version was fine but before that it was same issue.
