Thank you for reaching out! It appears that Firefox recently experienced an issue related to extensions. This affected all extensions, not just AdBlock. A fix has been rolled out with the latest release of Firefox, so as long as you're using the latest version, you should be all set now. Here's some more information about what happened: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

(ps) My firefox is set to automatically install updates and i checked it is using the latest version so there's no excuse that it's not working, for those who think I hadn't checked.

  • AdBlock Plus for Mozilla Firefox doesn't work and will not allow you to download in Firefox as of May 06, 2019. When you want to add AdBlock to Firefox, it replies with "Download failed. Please check your connection." everytime in Firefox even though your connection is working fine. Someone had indicated that Firefox lost its certificate to have AdBlock Plus as one of its Add-ons and disabled it.
