For example, if you want to eradicate youtube playlists, you'd better locate &list parameter and rebuild the URL without it.
Rather than identifying all parameters for careful string composition.
E.g.
(https?://)?(www\.)?youtube\.com/(watch\?)?((&?v=[^&]*)|(([&#]t=([\d]*h)?)([\d]*m)?([\d]*s?))|(&?index=[\d]*)|(&?list=[^&]*))*
has nested parentheses which are not parsed correctly by this extension.
I'd propose to use
(https?://)(www\.)youtube.com/watch\?(.*)(&?list=[^&]*)(.*)
with this replacement
$1$2youtube.com/watch?$3$5
This way parameter &index= will remain, but won't have any effect.
And the result will be removal of &list parameter which I am talking about.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13513971, 23 days agoperfect for what i need; still works even if it hasn't been updated in a while. I use it to veer away from my Twitter and Facebook homepages -- and it perfectly does the job!
- Rated 5 out of 5by unllama, a month agoAn absolute marvel, extremely useful to remove redirectors from sites like Pepper (Dealabs pour les amis français :) )
Two things I wish to improve it even more : integrated sync of redirectors on Firefox and a "community place" where people would exchange their redirectors. - Rated 5 out of 5by Eason Goldman, a month ago

What I would find extremely cool, was if the URL modification patterns could also be applied on my bookmarks, so I would kind of "clean" them. Especially remove "trash" parameters of UTM campains or other unneeded GET-parameters in Social-Media URLs which prevent me from recognizing whether or not I have this page already stored in my bookmarks.
But likely not so little additional work to integrate this both concerning logic and UI.
Anyhow: Good extension, good work. Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by ghost986, 8 months ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Baker, 9 months agoPretty good! I don't think it's regularly maintained now, but still, one of the best extensions to make me stay away from distractions. The patterns option is especially helpful if you know how to use it.
