Awesome once you know what to do! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'll admit, it took me a little while to make a working redirect, but once I did it worked and it worked perfectly!
https://www.youtube.com now redirects to https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions
Not beautiful, but functional Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works for me so far. Entire URL replacement, also when clicking on links or bookmarks. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9.3).
Works perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've used this extension for a long time, and it's great! It does what it says, and it is very quick.
P.S. I was stupid: the extension was accidentally disabled, probably because I pressed alt-R at some point without noticing it. It might be a good idea to have a large red text "currently disabled" on the configuration page (I didn't have the redirector icon on my add-on bar, so I never saw it).
Sounds like a good idea, might add it at some point :)
Amazing extension! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A Hidden Gem!
Amazing extension. Great user interface (recently updated! nice!). Unlimited different uses.
No other extension does anything like this.
Works great with Firefox 38.0.5. Hopefully it will continue to work perfectly with future releases.

Excellent tool, one of a kind (and...how to code white spaces!) Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Thank you developer, Good to see an update.
Currently, this add-on seems to be one (of two) last extensions that do url redirecting right (i.e. redirecting before the page actually loads), and it's so good it's back-in-action.
FYI: if trying to check urls for whitespaces, be sure to use %20 !!
-- e.g. (.*?)(%20)\|(%20)(.*) -- and *NOT* (if at all) just \s
Nice New GUI Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works fine with Firefox 37.0.2.
New setting page is really helpful in managing multiple rules.
Try turn off and on "Enable" check box in setting dialog when you have trouble using this addon.

does not work, toyed around for 20 minutes trying to do a static re-direct, followed the instructions and everything.
not blaming the dev, it could be a conflict with another add-on or something but this does not work for me.

Works Excellently Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A site I frequent changed their homepage to some bullshit with an unrelated HTML video that autoplays (thankfully without sound) but because of htis autoplay, the loading is slower not to mention it's not the page I want.
It took me a bit to figure out, but luckily the "Help" button ACTUALLY HAS USEFUL INFORMATION (take notes, Microsoft) so it told me what the program meant by pattern.
Additionally, I'd like to mention that the page that is being redirected does not have a chance to load, so it simply changes the URL as soon as you press enter, so there is no lag time between redirects.
An amazing add-on! It broke once, and it required a re-install to work again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
At some point after updating Firefox, the plugin broke, but it was easily fixed by clicking the "Add To Firefox" button again. (Works as it should on Firefox 35.)
It's a minor annoyance that the developer should look into.
Works perfectly, does exactly what it says! I use it to redirect online documentation to local documentation for software that comes with it, as my internet is not very fast. The plugin itself seems pretty lightweight, I did not notice any slowdown.
All good[/edit] Please update for new FF version Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Love it! Worked perfectly until FF version 33, but does not work on new FF versions... would have put 5 stars otherwise.
And found out that during one of the update, Redirector was simply disabled (Options>Configure>Enabled). Back to 5 stars[/edit]

That's a really good one. Lots of uses - from automatically fixing links for moved/mirrored/achived sites, to rearranging php arguments (e.g. so that URL would be easier to parse for "Automatic Save Folder"). Convenient setup, too. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed).
Easy to use and gives you increased control of your web navigation Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon is designed to do one specific thing, and it does it very well.
Personally I'm using the addon mainly to work around a disconnect that exists between what search engine results link to and what I want to read.
Example. BB-forums offer a wealth of community information on various topics, but search engines pick up on the archived pages instead of the styled main threads. If anyone has tried to read the completely unstyled archive of a thread, they'd know that it's rather annoying to read, and that the styled version on the site is much improved in terms of readability.
Luckily most web forums are using the same software and thus the site navigation structure (link constructs) look the same, so creating a single regex to match against archived links and then rewrite those so they point to the main threads is easy. The problem though is how can you make Firefox act on your personal routing and navigation preference in this regard?
This addon is tailored for this sort of need and provides:
1. A field for entering a match expression, including using regular expression capturing groups.
2. A redirect field which can use the captured content from (1)
3. A field for entering a sample URL, used for testing,
4. A button to test your expression against the sample URL, so you can iteratively refine the expressions until they are just right. It shows you the input and the result of your match and rewrite expressions, making it very easy to quickly author and maintain your rewrite rules.
5. Basic management of your rewrite rule set.
Being a developer myself, I first thought I'd address this redirect need using the greasemonkey addon that I already had installed, as doing redirects is just a 1-2 lines of code problem. However I have enough stuff (addons and custom scripts) running already whenever I hit a web page, and all this cruft do accrue to a point that a noticeable slowdown is experienced when navigating the web.
This time around I instead chose to go hunting for something specifically tailored for this redirection need and found this addon, glanced at the source code and was glad to notice the developer is as performance conscious as I am, meaning he has tried hard to minimize the performance impact of using this addon. This basically means that using the addon will give your browser a powerful URL rewrite and redirect capability without negatively impacting your browsing speed.
Highly recommended addon also for non-technical people, as long as you understand wildcard matching and / or regular expressions.
Thanks a lot for a very nice and detailed review :)
Works great, tested on Mac OS X with the latest Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Great add-on, does exactly what the description says and is very easy to configure.
The help page is detailed and contrary to what another reviewer said, it is working on Mac OS X as well.
