by doogle11, 6 years agoWorks pretty well for the most part. The feature I'd like to use the most is the JSON import, however, it doesn't seem to do anything when I load the JSON file from the FF profile folder. Am I doing something wrong? Running this on Mac High Sierra

posted 6 years agoI'm not sure which JSON you're using. I'd recommend exporting, i.e. downloading, the JSON file from the extension's preferences page. Then you can keep it as a backup and upload it (also from the extension's preferences page) whenever you wish. There's no need to mingle with files in your ffx profile folder. Hope this helps!

2) Скидає збережені сайти на стандартні, після перезапуску комп'ютера (дозвіл наданий).
3) У стандартних сайтів використовуються конфліктні (з майкрософт) горячі клавіші, хто це придумав?

Upd. Developer response
posted 2 days agoHey Alex, Many thanks for reporting these issues. Please also make a small effort to write in English so that everyone can get a chance to understand. Google translate is your friend:
1) Does not accept old saves, had to do everything again.
2) Resets saved sites to standard ones after restarting the computer (permission granted).
3) Standard sites use conflicting (with Microsoft) hotkeys, who invented it?
I'm very sorry for the trouble encountered, especially for 1 & 2. I have released an update (v5.0.3) which should fix this issue. Concerning the 3rd item, i.e. the bad choice of keyboard shortcuts for Windows users, it's been reported on GitHub and I've added a button to clear all keyboard shortcuts so users can add their own. https://imgur.com/a/JqGE8a2 - Rated 1 out of 5by Alonzo, 16 days agoDas letzte Update (Version 5.0.2) hat alle meine Suchmaschinen und Einstellungen gelöscht und mit Dutzenden unnützen Suchmaschinen ersetzt. Versuche ich die .JSON Backup-Datei zu importieren, passiert nichts. Ich lösche dieses Add-On jetzt. Ich hab die Nase voll davon.

posted 2 days agoHey Alonzo, Sorry for the trouble! In the future please report bugs on GitHub as I don't look at reviews as often. I have just released version 5.0.3 which should fix this bug. - Rated 5 out of 5by zsyjk, 18 days ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by BZ, 18 days agoOverall good, but several of the default keyboard shortcuts are the same as Firefox keyboard shortcuts, leading to confusing behavior (at least on Windows, not sure about others).

posted 2 days agoYou can easily change a keyboard shortcut by selecting it and using whatever key combination you fancy. Alternatively, you can use the "Clear all keyboard shortcuts" button to remove all of them. - Rated 2 out of 5by circcc, 2 months agoThere is no toolbar pop-up where you can directly enter search terms. So, Selection Search is better.

posted 2 months agoThis extension has an Icons Grid and you can also search in the url address bar. There's no need for a popup! Please read the extension's description. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17044199, 2 months ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12810666, 3 months agoVery useful now that Google apps buttons are broken below Google searchbar in Europe. I miss the Maps button that allowed a direct link to open.
To Olivier de Broqueville: ce serait super d'avoir la possibilité d'avoir dans le menu contextuel (après sélection + bouton droit) directement la possibilité de cliquer sur la recherche souhaitée (sans le menu déroulant intermédiaire). - Rated 5 out of 5by Alan, 3 months ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15332048, 4 months agoFirst of all, thank you for the plugin. I would suggest you add just one feature. The position of the icon grid can sometimes cause problems. It would be nice if we could adjust the Icon Grid position to get rid of this situation.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18109236, 6 months agoFantastic plug in - except that being the non coding type, I can't quite figure out how to add a search engine manually...it seems to me that when I first installed Context search some time ago, the read me/about this extension contained more specific instructions for doing thus than:
* add a search engine manually via the Options page (you can test the query string before adding the search engine) *
Obviously the search query strings are quite different for each site and I'm not sure how to locate them
Otherwise thank you so much - I prefer this extension to "ContextSearch web-ext", linked on the mycroftproject.com site...less bells and whistles, less is more ;oDeveloper response

posted 10 months agoHi, access to the clipboard is required if and when you want to copy or paste the base64 string of an icon to or from the clipboard (when you're creating a custom icon). That's the only time that access to the clipboard is needed.
UPDATE: Clipboard access is no longer required to copy/paste the base64 string of favicons. However, clipboard write access is now required to paste prompts into AI search engine web pages.- Rated 5 out of 5by Amartya, 10 months ago
