Split Image cuts one photo into equal tiles on your computer. Use it when you need a 2×2 or 3×3 Instagram grid, poster pieces, or a custom layout — without uploading the file.

Why install it
The website already splits images in the browser. The extension puts that same job in Chrome’s toolbar and adds one extra step the site cannot do: right-click any image on a page and choose “Split this image.”

How to use
1. Click the toolbar icon and drop a photo, or right-click an image and choose “Split this image.”
2. Pick a grid. 2×2 and 3×3 are one click.
3. Split, then click a tile to save it, or download all.

Privacy
Splitting runs locally . The photo is not sent to splitimage.im to cut it. If you follow the link to the website, that visit is a normal webpage and the website privacy policy applies.
