ShadowCore is the privacy extension for people who don't want to choose between privacy and the web working.
Most "privacy" tools make you compromise. Tor Browser breaks YouTube, banking, and captchas. VPNs slow everything down and require trusting the provider with all your traffic. Ad blockers stop ads but don't change your IP or hide you from your ISP.
ShadowCore is different. It does per-site proxy routing — you tell it what to do, per domain. Route Twitter through Tor, your bank through direct, Netflix through your VPN, news sites through your ISP. Per rule, per domain, active the moment you load the page. No system-wide proxy config, no app restart, no separate browser profile.
What you get
Per-site proxy routing — Tor, VPN, SOCKS5, HTTPS proxy, or direct connection. Your choice per domain. Set rules in 30 seconds.
YouTube sponsor-segment skipper — auto-skips sponsored segments, intros, and "subscribe to my channel" reminders. No API key, no logged-in account, no breaking playback. Works in 144p through 4K.
Ad and tracker blocking — EasyList and EasyPrivacy filter rules baked in. Block ads, stop fingerprinting scripts, kill analytics. Faster page loads, less data burned.
Unlimited profiles and patterns — free version caps at 2 proxy profiles and 5 URL patterns. The $8 lifetime key removes those limits.
What you don't get (on purpose)
No analytics, no telemetry, no usage pings, no fingerprinting
No account required — buy with Bitcoin, get a license key, use it
No subscription, no "first year then $9.99/month" — $8 paid once, lifetime
No "recommended partners" or "sponsored routes" or affiliate redirects
No feature tiers — one plan, everything, no Pro, no Enterprise
How it works
You write a simple rules file (or use the GUI) that says which sites go through which proxy. The extension enforces those rules using the WebExtensions proxy API. For sites that need your real IP (banking, government), the extension automatically uses a direct connection. For sites that benefit from privacy (social media, news, forums), it routes through Tor. For sites that need to be in a specific country (streaming, region-locked content), it routes through your VPN.
License and pricing
The free version is fully functional with reasonable limits (2 proxy profiles, 5 URL patterns). The $8 lifetime key, paid in Bitcoin via Lightning Network, removes those limits. License keys are signed JWTs stored locally — you can read them, back them up, and move them between browsers. No account, no email required after purchase. License keys work offline forever, so if shadowcore.club ever goes down, your extension keeps working.
Privacy
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. The only outbound network requests are: (1) license activation (one-time, when you click Activate), and (2) blocklist refresh (opt-in, when you click Update). All settings and license keys are stored locally in browser.storage.local.
Open standards, not open source
This extension is not open source but uses open web standards (WebExtensions API, declarativeNetRequest, WebExtension proxy API). The binary is a standard WebExtension package that can be installed on Firefox, Firefox for Android, and any Gecko-based browser. For source review requests, contact fiifitaylor21@gmail.com
