OtakuMesh watches for anime playing in your browser and keeps your progress on AniList, MyAnimeList, and Kitsu updated automatically — no more opening three tabs and clicking "+1 episode" by hand every time you finish something.
How it works
This extension is the detection half of OtakuMesh. It runs quietly in the background while you browse, and when it notices a video playing with a page title that looks like an anime episode ("Episode 12," "Ep. 12," "S1E12," and similar), it reports that to the free OtakuMesh desktop app running on your own computer.
The desktop app is the half that actually does the syncing — it talks to AniList, MyAnimeList, and Kitsu using your own connected accounts, and your watch history lives in a local database on your machine, not on any server we run. This extension never talks to AniList/MAL/Kitsu directly, and never talks to any remote server. Every request it makes goes to
You'll need the desktop app installed and running for the extension to do anything — free, open source: https://github.com/WyrmStudios/OtakuMesh
Works on whatever site you're already using
No fixed list of "supported" sites. It looks for a playing video and a page title with an episode number — if both are there, it works, on any site, including ones we've never heard of.
