Namesmith does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account, no
sign-in, and no analytics. It collects no data of any kind.


The only data the extension keeps is the naming project you are working on: the workload text,
the environment, region and instance you select, the resource types you tick, and the tag keys
and values you type. It is saved in your browser's local extension storage so your project
survives closing the tab. It never leaves your device.


Nothing. Namesmith makes no network requests. It has no server, no telemetry, no error
reporting, and no third-party code that phones home. You can confirm this: the extension
requests a single permission, storage, and no host or network permissions of any kind.


Namesmith never connects to Azure. It asks for no subscription id, credential, or secret, and it
reads no resource inventory. The names and tags it shows are drafts composed from the text you
type, not live Azure state.

• Clearing the project, or your browser's extension storage, removes the stored data.
• Uninstalling the extension removes its stored data.

The Firefox build declares data_collection_permissions: { required: ["none"] }, a formal
statement to Mozilla that the extension collects no data.
