MindTab is a free, open-source browser extension that makes browsing cleaner, safer, and more productive without sending your data anywhere.

🧹 Feed Sanitizer
Hides YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels from your feed automatically. Uses community-maintained filter lists from uBlock Origin and AdGuard that refresh every 24 hours, so it keeps working even as sites update their layouts. A live counter on the toolbar icon shows how many elements have been removed on the current page.

🛡️ Ad Blocker
Scans pages for scam ad patterns fake download buttons, "you've won" pop-ups, fake virus warnings, and phishing links and hides them before you can accidentally click them.

✍️ Writing Assistant
A lightweight panel appears whenever you're typing with enough text to analyse. It checks tone, passive voice, weak/hedge words, long sentences, repeated words, and gives you a Flesch-Kincaid readability grade all locally, with nothing sent to any server. Optionally connect a self-hosted LanguageTool server for full grammar and spelling suggestions.

A small flashcard overlay appears periodically while you browse to help you learn passively. Comes with 30 general knowledge cards. Add your own from the built-in card manager.
