It looked good in the write up but fails in practice, could've been fun I guess.

This one sounds every hour, but why don't you allow to make it sound, for example, every 15 minutes (as it very often appens for real clocks and tower-clocks?). I'll give five stars in case you'll allow to customize it ;)

The custom sound options isn't a feature that I looked into very much, but now that I know someone wants that feature, I'll see if it is possible to add this in an upcoming update. I'm not sure if it is possible with the current APIs, but I'll certainly look into it.
