GlideMarks makes bookmarking effortless. Save the current page with a quick swipe in the popup, a mouse wheel flick, or a single keyboard shortcut. You can choose your default folder and see whether the page is already saved. For power users, optional on-page gestures let you Alt + right-click drag to save by swiping right or remove by swiping left. Everything runs locally with minimal permissions and zero remote code.

Under the hood, GlideMarks uses bookmarks to create, search, and remove entries. It uses tabs and activeTab only to read the active page’s URL and title when triggered by a user action, and storage to remember your default folder and preferences such as gesture sensitivity and asking before removal. There are no inline scripts, no unsafe innerHTML, and no analytics. All resources are bundled and self-hosted to comply with AMO policies. Keyboard shortcuts can be customized in the Add-ons Manager.
