GitHub Markdown Formatter adds ✦ Format and ✦ Format with AI buttons directly to GitHub PR descriptions, issue descriptions, and comment boxes.

How it works

Paste raw developer notes and click Format. The extension runs a rule-based pipeline that:

• Detects action verbs and converts them to bullet points
• Wraps code identifiers, snake_case, and CamelCase in backticks automatically
• Converts issue references like fixes 123 to Fixes #123
• Capitalizes sentences

AI Mode

Click Format with AI to send the formatted text to an AI model for grammar and clarity improvements — without adding or inventing content.
