Privacy Policy — Detour

Detour does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The proxy settings you enter — server type, host, port, optional username and password, bypass list, routing rules, and optional health-check settings — are saved only in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). They never leave your device and are never sent to the developer or any third party.

Detour requests permissions (proxy, storage, alarms, webRequest, and host access) solely to:

• route your browser traffic through the proxy you configure,
• answer proxy authentication prompts using the credentials you entered, and
• schedule optional health checks of the active proxy (chrome.alarms) when you enable them, so the check can re-run on the interval you chose.

Credentials stay on your device. Detour does not read, record, or transmit the contents of the pages you visit. It loads no remote code and includes no analytics or tracking.
