2. Middle-click a non-interactive part of the page to enter scroll mode (or use your configured start gesture).
3. Drag once to lock a direction.
4. Use tiny repeated mouse strokes in any direction to move the page along that lock and pump momentum.
5. Middle-click again (or press Escape) to exit.
POPUP AND SETTINGS:
- Start gesture: Middle-click, or Ctrl / Alt / Meta + primary click for trackpads
- Feel presets: Precision, Balanced, or Glide
- Sensitivity: exact micro-path → page-distance multiplier (micro through low-effort)
- Momentum: how long residual coast continues after pumping stops
- Advanced (options page): start distance, vector constraint, grab/natural inversion, smart targeting, edge behavior
PRIVACY MODEL:
- Does not use telemetry, tracking, analytics, remote code, or developer-owned servers.
- Settings stay on your device.
- Stores only local Cursor Scroll preferences (feel, direction, activation, targeting).
- Does not read page content, form data, keystrokes, screenshots, history, bookmarks, or personal files.
- No data leaves your browser for telemetry, tracking, analytics, or developer-owned services.
LOCAL SETTINGS ONLY:
Preferences are saved with browser storage on this device. Nothing is synced to developer-owned services. Closing the browser keeps your settings; page motion itself is never recorded.
LIMITATIONS:
- Scroll mode works on normal web pages where content scripts can run.
- Browser UI pages, extension pages, browser stores, devtools, PDF viewers, and some restricted pages may block content scripts.
- Native middle-click remains unchanged on links, form controls, editable content, and media controls; Cursor Scroll claims the gesture only on non-interactive page regions.
- When page gestures are unavailable, use the extension popup toolbar to adjust feel or open options.
- Cursor Scroll is middle-click scroll mode you control with the mouse: lock a direction, then move the page with tiny strokes—without fighting the wheel or hitting a screen edge.
- Use it when you are deep in long docs, articles, search results, product pages, dashboards, GitHub issues, or research pages and want precise, low-effort scrolling.
- Not hands-free continuous scrolling: you pump the page with micro-strokes after a direction locks.
