YouCord — YouTube Videos in Discord Activity ავტორი modyle

YouCord displays the YouTube video you are currently watching as a Discord Activity.

The extension detects the most recently started video on www.youtube.com and sends its title, channel name, thumbnail, video URL, and playback progress to the locally installed YouCord companion application. The application then publishes this information through the local Discord Desktop client.

The browser extension does not work as a standalone add-on. You must install and run the YouCord companion application before starting video playback.

When the selected video is paused or its tab is closed, the Discord Activity is removed. If several YouTube tabs are open, YouCord displays only the video that was started most recently.

Video titles and channel names are displayed exactly as provided by YouTube and are not translated or modified.


The extension runs only on www.youtube.com and reads only the information required to display the current video activity. It communicates with the locally installed YouCord application through Firefox Native Messaging.

Playback information is transmitted only between the extension, the local YouCord companion application, and the local Discord Desktop client.

No YouTube or Discord account credentials are collected. No developer-operated server is used to process or store playback information.
