TimeDash Privacy Policy

1. Overview
   TimeDash runs entirely in your browser. It has no analytics, telemetry, ads, or remote tracking. There are no accounts or servers logging your browsing history. Your data stays on your device and is processed using built-in browser storage APIs.
2. Data Storage
   TimeDash saves your preferences and history in local browser storage (chrome.storage.local). Nothing is written outside your browser profile. The extension stores:

4. Playback speed preferences per site
5. Site blocking and daily restriction rules
6. Theme and UI customization options

This data is used only to display your usage stats and enforce your rules. No part of it is sent to external servers.

1. Network Activity
   TimeDash makes no outgoing network calls. Any network activity seen comes from your browser resolving site favicons or loading extension resources locally.
2. Permissions
   TimeDash requests only the permissions needed to track time and enforce your rules:
3. storage: Saves settings and history locally.
4. tabs: Reads active tab URLs to record time and apply site rules.
5. scripting: Injects video speed controls into web video players.
6. webNavigation: Follows URL navigation across frames.
7. host_permissions: Lets content scripts run on visited sites to track time and manage video playback.
8. alarms: Runs daily resets and optional data purges.
9. notifications: (Optional) Alerts you when daily time limits are reached.
10. Data Deletion & Control
    You own your data. You can delete single domain records or wipe all data using the controls in Data Management within the extension. Uninstalling TimeDash removes all stored extension data from your browser automatically.
11. No Account Required
    TimeDash requires no account, email, or cloud sync. All data lives on your device under your control.
12. Third-Party Code
    The distributed extension contains no third-party tracking, analytics, or external SDKs.
