Copy as Markdown for Confluence turns the Confluence Cloud page you're viewing into clean, portable Markdown — straight to your clipboard or as a downloaded .md file. Move docs into a repo, a static-site generator, an LLM prompt, or any Markdown editor without the manual cleanup.

Two ways to grab Markdown
- Copy MD — a button next to the page's Edit button, or the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+M (Cmd+Shift+M on macOS)
- Export — a "Markdown" item added next to the native Word / PDF entries under ••• → Export, downloading a .md named after the page

Whole page or just a selection — select any part of the page and only that selection is converted; otherwise you get the entire page.

Faithful conversion — tables (GitHub-Flavored Markdown), code blocks with language hints, checkbox/task lists, panels & callouts, expands, mentions, status lozenges, and emoji. Elements with no Markdown equivalent degrade gracefully (panel → blockquote, expand → <details>, mention → @name).

Optional copy override — turn on "Override Ctrl/Cmd+C" in the toolbar popup to make a normal copy of a selection produce Markdown. Without a selection, copy behaves normally, and editors and inputs are never affected.

Private by design — no data collection, no analytics, no telemetry. The extension makes no network requests of its own; everything runs locally in your browser. It runs only on Confluence Cloud pages (https://.atlassian.net/wiki/).
