CodeOut is a developer tool that connects LeetCode with Visual Studio Code. This Privacy Policy explains how CodeOut handles information when you use the CodeOut browser extension and VS Code extension.

CodeOut does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.

CodeOut does not require users to create a CodeOut account.

The extension may access information from LeetCode pages that is necessary to provide its functionality, including:

• LeetCode problem information
• Problem examples and test cases
• Source code written by the user
• Test results and outputs
• How Information Is Used

The information accessed by CodeOut is used only to provide the extension's functionality, including:

• Sending LeetCode problem information to the CodeOut VS Code extension
• Synchronizing source code between LeetCode and VS Code
• Running LeetCode test cases
• Displaying test results and outputs
• Triggering LeetCode's Run and Submit actions
• Local Communication

CodeOut uses a local server running on the user's computer.

The browser extension communicates with this local server through localhost, and the local server communicates with the CodeOut VS Code extension.

CodeOut does not send this information to a CodeOut-owned remote server.

CodeOut does not maintain a remote database or cloud storage for user data.

Problem information, source code, test cases, and test results are processed locally for the functionality of the application.

CodeOut does not intentionally retain this information after the relevant local application processes end.

CodeOut interacts with LeetCode because its functionality depends on retrieving and interacting with information displayed on LeetCode.
