Major Overhaul in v2.0!
The AEM Environment Switcher is a small utility extension that helps people who work across multiple Adobe Experience Manager environments move between those environments more easily. Instead of manually editing URLs or navigating through the AEM interface to reach the same page in a different environment, the extension reads the current tab’s URL and generates equivalent links for the same path in all configured environments.
Users can configure their own environment URLs (local, QA, Stage, Prod) with custom labels and easily switch between Editor, View as Published, or Published views. Sites with Internationalization (i18n) support can configure their source Language Master sites, and map them to one or more Live Copies. This allows users to navigate the live site and easily flip over to Edit mode on the master.
All settings data is stored using Chrome’s synchronized storage so the configuration follows the user’s browser profile across devices. The extension does not collect any personal data, transmit information to external servers, or perform tracking of any kind. It does not require or use remote code and operates entirely within the browser.
The extension is intended for developers, QA engineers, content authors, and anyone who needs to test, validate, or view the same page across multiple AEM environments. It provides a simple, predictable way to switch between environments without manually rewriting URLs.
