- Rated 3 out of 5by tomato sauce, 4 months agoshame it doesn't differentiate multiple channels, I have many of them for different kinds of contents and the groups from my main channel are shared through all of them, that's a bit annoying
Developer response
posted 4 months agoYes, multiple accounts are not supported. As a workaround, you can use different Firefox profiles(account containers) or use nested groups and create main groups for every account. - Rated 3 out of 5by Urnfs, 6 months agoAfter a year and a half of use, with more than 300 subscriptions organized, suddenly yesterday all my groups got deleted. And my backup is a year old 🤦.

posted 6 months agoBy default, your data is saved in browser storage. Maybe did you cleaned up?
You can use auto backup to recover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuqWMXu9hak It's a feature available for our patrons and enabled automatically. Are you a patron? In this case, we will be responsible for your data and save it on our cloud, and you can easily recover any version from the latest ten days. - Rated 3 out of 5by Kougeru, 9 months agoGenerally works ok...but the Subscriptions home page with filters is really bad on Firefox and has been for ages. Setting it to only "live" for example will cause an infinite load where it's trying to remove the uploads/scheduled stuff but they pop back in every few seconds.

posted 9 months agoYouTube restricts the page internally and there is no way to improve it on the extension side.
You should use feed mode by group and include/exclude any content type there there, watch the part of the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/r4iX53Qg2sE?si=Bb-cMxi1tDpEDR1J&t=230 - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17928100, a year agodecent even with the paywalls.
worst paywall is locking the sorting of community posts, and instead of just using chronological order, it shows the most recent posts from random channels. this is the only way to see community posts on a browser, by the way. in 'chronological order', but the 'chronological order' applies to the channels, so if you are subscribed to channels with a variety of activity, you get posts from months to years ago mixed in with daily ones. and the only sorting available without paying is how many posts from each channel you can see. its bad enough to make me want to refuse to pay you out of pure spite. i Just Want to see community posts in Chronological Order. at least give me alphabetization if youre forcing me into this 'see every channels posts' system so i can put the effort into finding them in a reasonable system. WHY would you put the channels in random order. its not useful for ANYTHING
anyway, as i was saying, the subscription grouping system is alright. the paywalls locks on it are more understandable, and its still usable even without paying. the kind of thing that would make me want to contribute if i could.Developer response

Yes, chronological order for posts is an extended feature available only for paid users. As you said it is the only way to see chronological community posts on a browser, so we can't provide it for free.
If you need it, become a supporter. It takes time to update the extension every time Youtube changes internally. - Rated 3 out of 5by MetalTxus, a year agoMost features are either locked or severely restricted behind a paywall. But they have updated the "play all" button to actually play all videos instead of just the latest 50, so it's good enough for me.

It would be awesome if this could be fixed.
EDIT: I disabled all other addons and the toggles "shorts/live" dont effect anything. Only "uploads" work but this effects all the videos. I tested this on firefox and chrome
I sent you the screenshots
Okay now it works in Chrome, but the thing is, I use this addon to not have to login on youtube/google.
Would be awesome if this feature could be added. Thanks for your support.Developer response
posted a year agoI checked, and it is working as expected. Try to disable other extensions, maybe you have a conflict.
Edit: I can't reproduce it and don't have similar requests. Send me screenshots on hello@pockettube.io
Edit2: thank you, you should log in on YouTube, PocketTube uses your account to identify video type, mark as watched, and many other features. When you'll be logged in it'll be working. - Rated 3 out of 5by Wolokin, a year ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Tom, 2 years agoThe idea is great, but the actual functioning is poor because it breaks some behaviors in YouTube and I had to uninstall this extension because of it.
1. When doing a search, the results page sometimes gets stuck refreshing the results, basically the results are caught in a loop of refreshing over and over so you can't click on anything.
2. When scrolling videos, YouTube uses lazy loading, but with this extension enabled, the videos do not load and it's just blank, therefore video results beyond the page break fail to load.
3. There are glitches when loading your main subscription feed page, things like shorts showing up then disappearing, despite what option you have selected. In my usage, I have shorts disabled, however they continue to show up sometimes on page loads.
4. The actual loading time of pages on YouTube is noticeably slower, this is most likely due to this extension using additional resources and causing it to lag.
5. Not the extensions fault but a byproduct is this will make your YouTube mobile app experience worse because your subscriptions are now all together, so if you use this extension to subscribe and be able to organize them where you wouldn't otherwise subscribe, then your lists are useless on mobile.
6. I don't appreciate the advertising for your extension upgrades. Yes, we understand you'd like to make revenue but let users show/hide these options and once they make their choice do not advertise this again. IF users want to upgrade, they can do so later on their own terms.
Again, it's a good idea but hopefully YouTube will adopt collections natively (as they have done beta testing with select users) and this will then be able to be used on your account across all platforms and devices.
The main feature I use is the subscription categories and the ability to hide shorts, once YouTube adopts this it will be great. Hopefully this extension will inspire YouTube to release collections to all users and feed options such as hiding shorts.Developer response
posted 2 years ago1-2. I can't reproduce it. Try to disable other extensions, I think you have a conflict with something.
3. It's expected behavior because it uploads all pages and next hides videos by filters. If you want to use it without disappearing(seamless experience), you should use feed mode https://youtu.be/r4iX53Qg2sE?t=233
4. It takes some time, but it's insignificant, and no one complains. Again I think it's related to conflict with something another extension.
5. It doesn't make it worse because PocketTube has Android and iOS, you can find it in the official store.
6. I want my users to know about every extension upgrade, what it's, and how to use it. I'm not going to make a useless update that no one use. It's part of the extension, and every update has free options. Also, you have a close button, so why not close it and just a little appreciate the work behind the extension? But it's really stupid to use my extension and don't see special videos for updates. Every update takes time to implement and produce tutorial videos.
PocketTube is not only about the collection. It has a bunch of different functions like Deck, filters, sorts, mark as watched, and more which you can on my YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/@PocketTubeHQ/videos
I have been developing the extension for over 6 years and would say unfortunately only ads revenue inspires YouTube to implement features. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12289659, 2 years agoReally liked the extension when it was working, unfortunately it hasn't worked for 1-2 weeks now. Subscription groups not present in the sidebar anymore, so no way to access my subscriptions :(
EDIT: Turns out it is not compatible with the Unhook Extension :( that is really a shame
I really liked the "Deck" feature, so decided to pay for the full version, unfortunately the playlists are not working as i had hoped, I am not able to show a group of playlists in the DeckDeveloper response
posted 2 years agoTry to disable other extensions. I can't reproduce the behavior, it is working. Also, check Firefox and the extension version. You should use the latest version.
UPD: You should notify developer Unhook about it. I can't change it on my side. Developer response
posted 2 years agoI can't reproduce it. What is broken? Maybe you have a conflict with other extensions, try to disable it.- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17129316, 2 years agoedit: dev is very responsive and helpful at least
Breaks every week ranging from:
- resetting the unwatched filter so literal days worth of videos gets added into the filter
- youtube shorts don't get added as "watched"
- clicking the subs group doesnt load any videos until I click the patreon tab
either youtube changes their api every damn week or this extension is that fragileDeveloper response
posted 2 years ago1. The extension can't reset the unwatched filter because it is using YouTube history, if youtube history is broken, it will not show too.
2. Youtube disabled watched status for shorts, for this reason, extensions don't provide this feature for shorts too.
3. I can't reproduce by clicking the subs group doesn't load any videos, could you please send screenshots or even videos to hello@yousub.info Maybe you have a conflict with other extensions because I don't see similar requests. - Rated 3 out of 5by Click, 2 years ago

Developer response
posted 2 years agoYou can use the mark as watched for free up to 5 times a day in our popup and without limit on any youtube page. If you need more become my supporter. It takes time to update the extension every time Youtube changes internally - Rated 3 out of 5by CoryMahler, 2 years agoLove this extension, BUT the latest update has a bug where the subscription page filters undo themselves after a few seconds of loading {when I select a filter}. sometimes it'll filter right, but usually it'll try and then go back to showing all videos regardless of what filter is set
- Rated 3 out of 5by Opal , 2 years agoI liked it until I updated it. All I was using it for was to hide what I have already watched on my sub page.. the rest is just clutter to me.. there's too much screen real estate being taken up by the control banner
Developer response
posted 2 years agoYou should hide it using the button: https://youtu.be/9RUz3lvGW-8?t=36 - Rated 3 out of 5by Diavola, 2 years agoI really like this extension but now I was trying to use it and I get three grey dots and it's not working. I saw more people is having the same issue, so I hope it will be fixed soon.

Yes, it happened to me too. It is a youtube update https://theverge.com/2022/4/12/23022541/youtube-sidebar-outage-settings-account-switch-sign-in I've prepared a quick fix on the extension side. It'll be available after approving the new version soon. I'll notify you. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17106100, 2 years agorecently it can't make a playlist when play a video from a group, happened in firefox nightly.
- Rated 3 out of 5by wut, 2 years agoNear-Shareware-level lack of features, with an incomprehensible interface, and several bugs.
When you can't even do something as simple as remove a channel from a group without searching through a thousand menus in the basic version, it might be too soon to start paywalling everything else. - Rated 3 out of 5by Thomas, 3 years agoUnfortunately the Addon stops working, when the Youtube-page gets zoomed in to the point where the left bar collapses. ... Refreshing the page then breaks the addon. :-(
Otherwise a very good and useful Addon. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16699303, 4 years agoI registered about 1600 channels.
This add-on couldn't organize all channels.
I can organize only 993 channels.
I'm not a native English speaker.Developer response
posted 4 years agoIt is youtube restriction. PocketTube collect your subscriptions from left Youtube sidebar. Youtube show only 1k subscriptions there, but you can open any channel page and added it to groups without restriction even without subscription. Watch full tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rylGj42u034 - Rated 3 out of 5by Joeyonthecliff, 4 years agoIt was indeed convenient to use, however it was bringing trouble to use easily, and sometimes cause the layout shifts and the website doesn't work properly.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Rondo, 4 years agoК сожалению, дополнение пришлось отключить. Загрузка папок занимала добрых секунд 20, плюс сам Youtube стал очень медленно работать. Но идея, как и исполнение - выше похвал. Надеюсь у других дополнение работает хорошо и это частный случай
