by Michael Nikolaev, 5 months agoVery useful addon. With all the YouTubes and reddits in the world out there, this one really helps me to stay focused on my work.
The UI is a little complicated, but very feature rich.
I personally blocked several web sites + added the time frame in which those are blocked and it works like wonder.
Big thank you to the developer(s) of this addon.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Ipasd, 20 hours agoThanks to this add-on, I think I'm finally on my way to overcome my surfing addiction.
This add-on has many different options to allow different kinds of blocking and also allows you to put them in groups called 'sets.' For example, you can block a website you never want to go on, block a website on certain times of the day, and websites that aren't blocked at all. All of these options can be activated simultaneously and that is what I think makes this add-on better than most others of the same purpose, where they generally only allow blocking and nothing else.
My only complaints (explaining the 4 stars instead of 5) are that the interface isn't as nice as it could be. I would like to be able to get to all the options without having to scroll a lot. Another complaint is that some descriptions don't feel quite as clear until you enable them for yourself. - Rated 5 out of 5by Akesh, a day agoThank you leechblock and James Anderson for developing this extension that focus on blocking distractions. There's no other better extension for blocking distracting websites than this on Firefox.

posted 3 days agoThis is a known issue, and the problem lies with Firefox for Android rather than LeechBlock. See discussion here: https://github.com/proginosko/LeechBlockNG/issues/419
The issue should be fixed in a future version of Firefox for Android. - Rated 5 out of 5by Daniel, 11 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Some Guy Online, 12 days agoSuper helpful for not wasting a whole lot of time on sites I know I shouldn't be wasting a whole lot of time on. 10/10, shoutout to James Anderson. User interface is easy to understand and use, functions work well. I like the addition of the wildcard and exceptions.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Antun, 13 days agoI try to whitelist a specific chatgpt conversation, and sometimes it does let me onto the site, but oftentimes it doesn't and says "chatgpt.com is blocked". Yes, I know it is, but this specific chat isn't.

There's probably a solution available. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15548549, 14 days agoit worked to an extent... i used it for character.ai and it didn't actually block the chat after the time unless i reloaded the page which i wasnt generally doing. it DID work when i was MAKING a character and destroyed all my work. so check the time if youre doing something like that because it will not stop to warn you about your unsaved work, it will completely bypass that. definitely my fault, but something i never even considered until it was too late

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18433102, a month agoI am not one to exaggerate but i am not kidding when I say this is has been the catalyst for changing my life for good, every facet of it. As mandatory and important ublock origin is on every device it has nothing on the importance of Leechblock for good of society

- Rated 5 out of 5by Paulcrews3, a month agoFucking useful and simple enough for a computer illiterate. Blocked reddit and youtube and immediately felt a weight off my shoulders. No more doom scrolling and wasting my time watching stupid bullshit. Thanks James!
- Rated 5 out of 5by AMJC, a month agoBest program for keeping me on track. Love the options for how to manage my social media so that I can pick and choose how I structure my time. Keep up the good work and I am also making a donation.
- Rated 5 out of 5by goblin, a month agoI don't even use the straight-up blocking function that much, even just the delay function works like a charm to keep a mindful eye on surfing and social media habits. Simple yet customizable and effective, this has got to be one of the add-ons I most often recommend to others
