This triggers Youtube's add blocker detection meaning you cant watch videos with it enabled. Kinda useless if you actually want to use youtube to watch videos.

Turns out it was the "Disable YouTube's audio loudness normalization" option that was triggering youtubes add block detection.

some videos/channels are randomly not showing up/not loading even though i've never blocked them.

I remember being able to use this addon to block comments, but I only see a report option nowadays.Video blocking seems to work fine though!

Comment blocking no longer working as of a recent YouTube update. Option in three-dot menu is missing. When it worked, it worked well. Hoping for an update to restore this feature soon.

i cant block channels when i find a video in the recommendation as i click the three button logo to show the drop menu and then nothing is happening when i click on " block channel " as its not going to the channel id list

Was working, but now triggers the ad blocker warning. (with all other extensions, including the actual ad-blockers, disabled)

I also experienced this extension not working after updating to version 115 or 116 of Firefox. However, by chance, when I executed 'Clear Data' under 'Cookies and Site Data' in 'Privacy & Security,' the extension started working again. Currently, it is functioning whether I am logged in or not. Just to be sure, I restarted Firefox after executing 'Clear Data.' I suggest you all give it a try as well.

Worked perfectly until it started causing memory leak, somehow the browser used over 90% of memory. I have a lot of blocked youtubers, maybe this is the cause?

Playlists still show up whenever i search for something, how do i stop them from showing up completely?

bug: makes some double scrollbar popping up, it seem some items in "Channel ID" causing it

Can you make it so it stops blocking your own comments it makes it really hard to reply to people who reply to your comments when you can't see your comments that there replying too also i like coming across old comments i made years ago and forgot about and seeing how many likes they have gotten over that time and i mean whats the point in hiding your own stuff from yourself.
This would be five starts if it didn't block my comments/ had an option to stop hiding your own comments.

extension works perfect.
however it would be nice if the blocklists were saved, based on who was logged in.
since google accounts use this pc

It used to work perfectly but recently I've only been able to block videos and channels that appear on the ''top row'' and not the videos that load in once you begin scrolling down. I only have the normal YouTube option of ''Not Interested'' which never works anyway because that video will keep showing up.

Despite serving its purpose somewhat adequately, BlockTube seems to slow my Internet connection down badly as well as using more RAM than it should.

You guys should update you extension soon. I think the Youtube giant changed it's settings again...

I've been using this addon for months now and loved how my youtube can be super clean. I somehow cannot block anymore channels now. The two buttons of 'block video' and 'block channel' seems to be missing in some videos and I can't even add the channels using the blocktube options page. Would really hope this to be fixed as soon as possible.

Great alternative after Video Blocker got too slow and unstable.
My only suggestion would be to add a channel whitelist feature so channels you are subscribed to etc. won't be affected by blocked keywords. I wondered why some videos in my subscription box would show on my tablet but not on desktop.

EDIT December 2020: Several times blocked channels got through every now and then in the recommended videos section.

Works as advertised. Straight up blocks videos/channels right out of your eye holes.

It does what it says on the tin well, but doesn't do what I had intended to use it for well.
I had intended to use this to fine tune my recommended section in the home page, blocking the channels I was already subbed to (thinking they'd be left alone on the subscribed page), but this addon straight up removes everything without prejudice. I'm not faulting it for that, as it's doing what it's meant to be doing. I just wish there was a way to use this how I had hoped to. In any case, it'll work fine for blocking channels I have no intention at all to watch.

Please add a keyword filter and I'll bump this to 5 stars.
