  • Unable to find detailed instructions, I spent hours trying to make it work. But the process for specifying a default location eluded me: downloads would never appear where I specified in a Quick Access folder. Even after VDH stated that the MP4 download had completed, it wasn't there, here, or anywhere. Another irritant was that control+j never brought up the downloading library with this extension. It seems like it's meant for software engineers.
  • absolutely useless, this AddOn, since Video DownloadHelper is no longer usable and you are permanently forced to install a program (companion application is needed.⊗)
This process requires an external application.). So don't touch it! And it should be told Mozilla that this user here, forces you to install a program, although you don't know what it is.
  • good
  • Seems to require a paid version to download almost any file. Actually works with about 8% of the YT files I want.
  • I freaking love this add-on! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work.
  • Claims that it inserts a watermark on videos. This is not true, it actually puts a SOLID QR Code on top of the video. After this insult I would never pay for this hijacking chunk of junk!
  • Now watermarking converted videos with a QR code and requiring a fee for their "premium" version.
  • oui il me plait
  • This add-on should not be included in the Firefox add-on library. It is clearly using other open-source software in order to require a fee in order to do what every other add-on provider does without requiring a fee. The author is also engaging in 'Bait-and-Switch' by burying the fact that it doesn't download and merge the audio with the video. Its exactly this kind of 'stealth commercialization' which has tainted the reputation of Mozilla over the years. People who create software like this are literally stealing from the countless other people who created the foundation for the Mozilla browser as open-source, which in turn, created the opportunity for others to add-value by writing add-ons.
  • DownloadHelper is very much useful, and very much effective and robust, even works on video streams. Thanks for the developer.
  • Asks you to download an external app!
