WHAT IT DOES
- Tracks how many tabs you have open and changes its badge to hot-orange once you pass a max-tabs cap you set — tabs are never closed automatically
- Tracks today's time on the current site against a per-domain daily minute budget you define
- Nudges gently at 80% and 100% of a site budget — it never blocks or interrupts the page
- Shows a popup with today's time on the current site, a 24-hour tabs-open trend, and your current under-budget streak
- Add Quiet Hours to suppress badge color changes and popup banners during a window you choose — everything else keeps working as normal
- Manage everything from a simple Options page: max tabs, per-site budgets, and quiet hours

HOW IT WORKS
Focusfield samples your open tabs and active-site time in the background using the tabs, storage, alarms, and idle permissions, then reflects that back to you through the browser toolbar badge and a lightweight popup. Streaks build automatically once you've set at least one site budget.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Focusfield requests no host permissions and makes no network calls. Every setting and every byte of tracked data is stored locally in your browser's on-device storage — no accounts, no sign-in, no servers, nothing ever leaves your machine.
