Shortless hides YouTube Shorts across the home feed, search results, channel pages, related videos and navigation. Hide Playables and optionally community posts, choose which surfaces to filter, or pause protection from the toolbar.

OPTIONAL SLOP PATROL
Patrol is off by default. After your consent, it sends visible video IDs, titles, channel names, description snippets and page language to Shortless's Cloudflare-hosted service. The metadata text is assessed by TypeSafe's Jev. Missing descriptions are requested from YouTube without account cookies.

Patrol checks text metadata, not video or audio, and cannot prove AI authorship. Auto-hide is a separate choice and only hides strong low-value matches. Uncertain videos and service failures stay visible. Recent checks explain decisions; Always show lets you restore a video. No account or API key is required.

LOCAL CONTROLS
Settings, counters, recent checks, timing samples and Always show choices stay in this browser. There are no feedback uploads, advertising or analytics SDKs. Patrol is unavailable in private windows; local filters still work if you allow private access, without saving private activity.

Choose System, Light or Dark appearance. Desktop Shortless is free. The separately sold iPhone/iPad app is not required and does not sync with this extension.
