Grablet collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no servers. Everything Grablet does happens inside your browser, on your device.
Grablet looks at the addresses and types of files that pages you visit have already loaded, so it can list them for you. For a streamed video it reads the site’s playlist once, without your cookies, to tell you which qualities exist. When you click Save, the file (or the stream’s fragments) is fetched from the website’s own servers to your computer. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and all of this happens on your device.
When you click Save, your browser downloads the file directly from the website’s own servers to your Downloads folder. The file never passes through us. We do not operate servers that could receive it.
Your preferences are stored locally by your browser and never transmitted.
- Collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data or browsing history
- Track you with analytics, cookies or identifiers
- Change the pages you visit, beyond adding its own Save controls
- Download anything you did not explicitly ask for
Download-click protection, scoped to enabled sites, closes a window that a download click opened without being asked. It does not change page content.
- Access to websites At install, only the sites Grablet supports by name. Any other site is off until you enable it from the popup, and you can take that back at any time. On those sites Grablet reads what the page has loaded, fetches from the site’s own servers only when you click Save, and sends nothing anywhere.
- Downloads To save the file you clicked into your Downloads folder.
- Storage To hold the list of media found in the current tab, and your per-site settings. No browsing history is retained.
- Tabs To match found media to the tab it came from.
- Web request To see the type and size of files the page loads. Passive only. Nothing is blocked, redirected or changed.
- Web navigation To clear a tab’s list when you leave the page, and for download-click protection, scoped to enabled sites. If clicking a player opens a window nobody asked for, Grablet closes it. It never runs on the sites Grablet supports by name, acts only on clear evidence, and can be switched off per site from the popup.
- Offscreen document (Chrome and Edge) Where Pro assembles a stream into an MP4, because the extension’s background process cannot create the file on its own.
- Scripting To add Grablet’s detection and Save button to a site you have enabled from the popup. Nothing is registered until you do, and no code is ever loaded from the internet.
Grablet is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no data, it does not knowingly collect anything from anyone.
The extension collects nothing. If you email us, we hold what you sent, your address and your message, for as long as it takes to answer. If you buy a Pro licence, our payment provider handles the payment and we keep your email address and the licence we issued, so we can reissue your key. We never see your card details. Neither is shared or used for anything else.
If a future feature ever needs to send anything off your device, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, the data involved will be the minimum required, and your media files and browsing history will remain off limits permanently.
Grablet Pro makes one such request, and this is its disclosure. A licence key is verified on your device against a public key built into the extension. So that a key which has been posted publicly can be withdrawn, the extension also reads a small public list of revoked keys from grablet.app — when a key is pasted, and at most once a day after that. That request carries no identifier: not your key, not your email, nothing about you. The key is hashed on your device and compared on your device, and the list itself holds only such hashes. If the list cannot be reached, your key keeps working.
Grablet is published by MYLABS AI SOLUTIONS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, Puducherry, India. The only personal data we ever hold is what you send us by email, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
