Boolean Search String Builder helps recruiters, sourcers and job seekers write correct Boolean search strings without counting parentheses by hand.

How it works:

• Add one or more term groups. Each group holds synonyms separated by commas, and the add-on joins them with OR inside parentheses.
• Groups are joined with AND (LinkedIn syntax) or a space (Google syntax).
• Add terms to exclude. LinkedIn syntax uses NOT; Google syntax uses -term. Multi-word excludes are always quoted.
• Multi-word terms can be quoted as exact phrases with one checkbox.
• Press Copy and paste the string into the LinkedIn or Google search box yourself.

The add-on only builds text. It does not open, read or change any web page, and it does not search for you. It needs one permission, clipboard write, to copy the string. It collects no data, sends nothing over the network and stores nothing.

Pro version (separate paid add-on)

The free add-on is complete on its own, and nothing in it is locked or needs payment. A separate paid add-on, Boolean Search String Builder Pro, is sold through Payhip and installed as its own add-on. It adds:

• a saved-search library stored in your browser,
• 14 job-title synonym packs (for example software engineer, data analyst, DevOps engineer) that fill a group in one click,
• JSON export and import of your saved searches.

The pro version also collects no data and has no host permissions. The free popup shows one link to the pro page.
