Love the new Web Monetization API!

App seemed to work fairly well. Not many sites use it yet. I want to be able to see if a site uses Coil, but Coil annoyingly shows a red notification icon every single time you open your browser, all it does is go to their "explore" website. Frusturated me enough to removed the addon entirely.

I find myself re-loging into coil too often

I really like the idea of contributing to an ad-free web while supporting content-creators!

The extension is great; it would be even greater if it showed the mount of money given, (or the time spent) per web-monetized website.

This extension is deprecated as the service has been sunset.

Was formerly a great way to support services and creators based on how you use it, some even remove ads or provide bonuses if you're supporting them via Web Monetization.

The Web Monetization API and this extension acts as the gateway toward an ad-free internet.

I'd seen comments that mentions this asks for too many permissions, and it's partially true but this isn't the fault of Coil. Coil needs to access the DOM to get the Interledger Pointer, Firefox does not have a granular enough permissions to only request access to the head of the document, or to not request access input fields or password fields. These concerns should be passed to Mozilla, not Coil.

Requires too wide permissions for what it is doing. Asking for access to the data for all my web pages is asking too much.

The ad-free-Web begins with Coil and the Web Monetization API standard. When millions of people start buying 1 latte a month to split across the sites they get value from, the Web is going to be a better place for everyone.
