GitHub marks a review comment "Outdated" once the code moves, and only shows the old lines. Comment Context for GitHub adds a side panel to any pull request that maps each comment onto the current code.
For every review thread you get three views:
Changes since comment: a diff of the commented lines between the commit the comment was made on and the current head.
At comment: the code as it was when the comment was posted.
Current: the same lines in the head commit, even when the thread is outdated.
Other features:
"Code changed" or "Unchanged" tag on each thread, so you can see which comments were acted on.
Filter by thread author, with comment counts, and by unresolved status.
Follows files that were renamed after a comment was made.
Optional whitespace-insensitive diffing.
Resizable panel, light and dark themes.
You supply your own GitHub personal access token with read-only access. Nothing is sent anywhere except github.com.
