SWIPE BACK TO CLOSE
Open a link in a new tab, read it, then swipe back with two fingers on the trackpad: the tab closes and you are right where you were. A tab you opened yourself is never closed by the swipe — it only works on a tab that was opened from a link. Turn it off on any site, or change the swipe length, in the settings.

A SHELF FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO COME BACK TO
• Stash the current tab with one click, a shortcut (Alt+Shift+S, ⌥⇧S on a Mac) or the context menu — and keep it open or close it, one time or always.
• Stash a whole tab group and restore it later as a real group. While a saved group is open, the shelf keeps it up to date.
• Save a quote from a page with your own note.
• Search the shelf, pin what matters, reorder, drag a tab into a group or a link out of it, and undo anything you removed.
• Optionally archive tabs you have not touched for a while; they land on the shelf, nothing is lost.
