The web developer toolbar is absolutely essential for me. It helped me writing my diploma thesis, which was about accessibility and WCAG1 and 2. It saves a lot of time in my everyday work as a web developer. And finally it was very helpful the last ten years when I was teaching web design. I really miss it when I open a browser where it is not available.

The add-on which made me fell in love with coding again Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I do webdesign and programming as a hobby in my spare time and I really like coding and taking care of a few websites I have. A year ago I was about to give up because of the bugs I was getting all the time and no matter how hard I tried to write correct and proper code, I was inevitably ending with a few problems which were turning my entire design upside down.
I loved coding but I hated the bugs more than anyone and it was very time consuming to re-read the entire code and find where exactly the problem is, and playing with the div's background color, and width, and height, and finding what exactly causes that page to look awful was so not for me.
Fortunately, I stumbled upon an article retweeted by someone and they were recommending this add-on. Now I can easily debug my pages and see what my mistakes are, I don't need to copy/paste source codes and read them in text editors and spend hours on that. The Ctrl+Shift+F key combination is my best ally now, It helps me debug and keep myself a happy designer. How great!

Brilliant Rated 5 out of 5 stars

So useful. Simple things like hiding CSS to see page structure, switching off JS, etc, become 2-3 clicks. If this wasn't free, I'd probably pay for it!

Great addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

...one minor thing though: when the addon's button is placed in the toolbar along with other icons (I use the menu bar old-firefox-style) using the only-icon/no-text option for the toolbar icons, it displays way off (displaced upwards) than the other icons. I have around 25 icons in the menu toolbar and I'm only having this issue with this addon (using 1.2b1) and with the HackTheWeb addon's icon - other addons' icons display fine aligned at the same level/height.

I am using latest firefox x64 nightlies (currently 15.0a1) on Windows 7 x64 if that matters.

Other then that this is truly a life-saving addon! Thanx for the time and effort spent on it.

Ease of Web developement Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Most of the unique features of this add-on, like resizing of window to test the web project in different windowing size, editing HTML pages directly without tempering the page, displaying the complete web page elements information, are very useful in web developement

Fix for Web Developer + NoScript Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The Web Developer toolbar is a must-have for web developers (arguably better than Firebug).

One of the features is showing all CSS / JavaScript (inline and external!) of the current page. Each slice can be collapsed, so that you don't have to scroll through a big wall of text before finding the desired line of code.

Unfortunately, the NoScript extension disables this feature. To save enable this feature again, I have written a Greasemonkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/133136

More than I could ever ask for! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on is an excellent tool. As a web developer I often find myself in need of a specific measurement for an element, this add-on includes an excellent, ruler. Using this tool saves me so much time and takes the guess work out of my measurements. The ability to show information and/or outline all of the various elements of a page is a great way to find the perfect placement of objects. This tool also allows you to disable various elements such as images or Javascript as well as to validate your code.

This is an absolute essential add-on to any web developer/designer or anyone who is interested in seeing what any website looks like disassembled. I am sure that the developer spent a lot of time on this one and I am really grateful. To see its full potential, just add it to your firefox and start exploring. Lots of fun

I <3 the Web Dev Add-on!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I <3 the Web Developer Add-on. It makes my job as a designer a lot easier. It is nice, especially when I get an email from a client: "I want this" based off another designers work…often times clients run through designers like kleenex. I can go in and see how it works and design functionality based off what is already existing of go in an see all the image dimensions. Also it is a cool tool to use when exploring new functionality. It has made my life a happier more efficient place for a while now. Thank you Chris Pederick for this extension & Mozilla for building out this wonderful aspect of your tool. Firefox is my go-to browser for the never-ending awesomeness it provides. You complete me.

The Web Developer toolbar is an absolute must for all Web Design and developers. I use this toolbar every day and would be lost without it. I have recommended it to all of my colleges that didn't know or have it installed and now the whole of my Web team is using it. If you haven't installed it already, do it now, you won't regret it.
