- Rated 5 out of 5I've been using Video DownloadHelper for longer than I can remember. At first it caused me a little trouble, well, more like more than a little trouble. But I stuck with it and I'm glad I did.
Over time the developer has made it much easier to use. Updates are smooth and the interface between the "kernel" (If that's the right term?) and the aggregator tool is now very good.
The initial kinks have been worked out and the app now works effortlessly. Once both parts of the program are installed it works seamlessly.
I can simultaneously download multiple video files without a hitch. I like that the app now sends the files directly to my downloads folder, and not to a "dwhelper" file as it originally did.
Now with confidence I can recommend Video DownloadHelper.
If you tried it in the past and it didn't work for you, try it again. I bet it works for you this time. - Rated 5 out of 5Excellent tool to download videos. Sure, if you want to remove the QR code and you run Windows, they ask for a donation. But it's not a huge donation. I happily supported them. You also need to install a companion app in order for video and audio to be joined, again, no big problem. Stop moaning and part with a small sum to help keep this extension going. It's the best there is..
Latest version required going back to the old GUI to change settings. No big problem and as long as one can do that until a new options is added (or made more visible) then that's fine. Videos are now more easily discoverable so can be downloaded without starting to play.
Excellent add on, still worth the money if you need to download some videos to watch when travelling and having no internet etc. It's getting better.
