- Rated 5 out of 5by PatheticCockroach, 3 years agoGreat improvement over the Vanilla Twitch player. Notably good to get rid of ads, and for the possibilities given to tweak video buffering and all just like you want.
I just wish there was a way to force the UI to remain visible at all time (currently, if I move my mouse out of the video panel, things like the pause button get immediately hidden).
Edit: thanks for your superfast reply. That wasn't really my question though, pause was just an example for illustration, the thing is I just want to keep the whole UI visible at all time. That being said, apart from this minor point, the extension is AMAZING. Can't believe I've been able to bear Twitch without it before, it's a life-changer. Thanks. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15171615, 3 years agoGreat plugin, really saved me when trying to watch streams on my raspberry pi when they kept crashing the browser before. Wish I could increase the volume past max tho on a quiet laptop

- Rated 5 out of 5by Chris Grimmett, 3 years agoWhat an absolute Chad of a plugin! I live in a rural area and my only choice for internet is very low quality, low bandwidth, with high packet loss. For a reliable Twitch stream, I'm stuck with 160p.
With the default twitch client, I can't even have chat open because having chat open will cause video buffering. Alternate Player for Twitch.tv fixes that, with an assortment of features that optimize bandwidth usage. I still can't watch HD, but at least I don't have any buffering with this player!
The audio-only mode is also a godsend because some smaller streamers don't have a 160p option. I would be completely unable to watch their streams without this plugin. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15679072, 3 years agoPlease add redirection from stream raids, autoplay functions of vods to make this an absolute banger, thanks for this!
- Rated 5 out of 5by hekichan, 3 years agoHave a slow net, so I really like the buffering settings and how you can change it to your liking. Hardly see buffering anymore. And no ads which is great.
But, the question I have is, the player is constantly in theater mode with no option from what I've seen to get out, so in order for me to switch streams I need to go back to the home page or open another twitch tab which is inconvenient. Anyway to see my followers tab while watching a stream? Thanks - Rated 5 out of 5by Vagoane, 3 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Michael, 3 years agoThis is an amazing extension. Everything is super smooth, low CPU usage, and it's just an infinitely better experience than the bloated official Twitch player. The only issue I have with it is that it seems to have a significant delay in regards to the chat and the stream.

- Rated 5 out of 5by b_zy, 3 years agoSeems to be working once again. Even if it eventually doesn't work, I'm very happy the work is being put in to combat the amazon ad apocalypse.
- Rated 5 out of 5by ocho, 3 years agoRe-installed the addon, works without problems!
Make this add-on great (again!). Loving it! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16274713, 3 years agoThis is such a good addon with a hardworking dev playing cat and mouse with Twitch on a daily basis it seems - don't leave a negative review just because the addon worked perfectly up until now! Leave a positive review for all the free quality/experience improvements you've gotten until now.
- Rated 5 out of 5by JD, 3 years agoAbsolutely fantastic addon that the author regularly updates to work around Twitch's terrible ad-filled experience. This fixes everything. Get it!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13271988, 3 years agoActually I had to realize how good it is when it suddenly stopped working. Absolutely 5 stars. I can confirm it works with new Twitch API if you reinstall this addon.
