- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18648834, 2 months agoThe extension is now almost unusable for me. I keep getting this message: "Permission to inject a script was denied on..." It's just frustrating, but not very helpful.

posted 20 days agoSorry for the inconvenience. Previously, when Firefox wouldn't insert the necessary script, it just failed silently. I kept that as an option if you preferred that behavior.
But more generally, Firefox 128 finally allowed injection into most non-Mozilla sites. If you are running an older version, such as the Extended Support Release of Firefox 115, you could consider upgrading if your OS can run Firefox 128 ESR. Developer response
posted 5 months agoSorry to hear about this problem. Do you want to send me a message at jscher2000@outlook.com for assistance?- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13961419, 6 months agoWas working great for a long time, but recently had some weird issues with it. It keeps download fragments of images rather than the full image, very strange.

posted 6 months agoHi, that is strange. There is an open issue related to only getting a quarter of a zoomed product image on at least one site. Maybe it is a related problem? Feel free to add example URLs to the open issue at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/10 (or you can email me at jscher2000@outlook.com if you don't want to create a Github account).
Meanwhile, does it work any better if you open the image in a new tab before trying to convert?
*UPDATE*
Hopefully the next update (1.5.2) will fix this. - Rated 2 out of 5by Jacques, 2 years agoIt works but it is very invasive and annoying, I want to convert and choose a setting, I want it conerted silently, I don't want an annoying popup displayed on each picture, even on those that don't need to be converted.
As it is I prefer to save as webp and change the format afterwards in Photoshop ( with the adequate plugin and a script it is faster, give more control and it is more reliable)Developer response

* No automatic info / button bar *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Button Bar Options", look for "Open bar automatically" and make sure it is *not* checked.
* Silent Save *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Menu Item Options", you can set the "Plain click" action to save in your preferred format instead of showing buttons. Under "Save Dialog / AutoSave Options" you can control whether to show a Save As dialog or not.
I think that should resolve your concerns, but let me know if you don't find those options. - Rated 2 out of 5by bleedingpopcorn76, 2 years agoit works great but its way too confusing to configure. either the settings don't seem to behave the way they're supposed to or i just don't understand what they say, i really don't know. i just click stuff until it stays the way i want it and even then it kinda breaks downloading images in webp automatically for no reason if i refresh the link. so far the worst front end i've come across in 20 years of messing around with comptuers.
