- by Nova, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5Makes the new tab page white which is very annoying. Otherwise great extension with lots of customization.
- by Alien Observer, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5It does the job, and there are (currently and as far as I know) no alternatives. It's VERY resource intensive, and constantly slows down pages. I therefore only have it active on my gaming computer (a beast) and have deactivated it on my work computer. If you could make this less resource intensive, it would be 5 stars.
- by Alonzo, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5When a website is loading, the whole background of the window is white. That hurts my eyes much more than browsing without Dark Reader. It's like a police interrogation.

- by Firefox user 12374237, 2 years agoRated 3 out of
- by aurum, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5this add on completely messes up the layering on websites like soundcloud but it works for the most part on other websites

- by Crisdavid, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5Works great for lightweight websites but slows tab or the browser to a crawl on most websites. Amazon was a concern with this as it would lock my browser up to the point I had to exit out of it. On Chrome based browsers this works amazingly. Oddly it's a different beast on Firefox. It seems to have gotten easier thanks to the latest Firefox updates.
- by Teddy, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5Would be great if it didn't randomly switch off or just eat up my CPU and RAM like bacon on breakfast. I switch it on and my PC goes wild!
- by snowhitemint, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5UMSTÄNDLICH!
- by Umair Ahmed, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5It is a good plugin in concept and does what it says and has 4 modes which one way or the other make sites work with dark color profiles.
Alas! In many instances, especially sites with a lot of media or large animated pictures, it makes my browser either slow to a crawl or completely locked up for many seconds. Opening many tabs in short stints becomes a nightmare in such cases.
Especially when it first got installed (I had about 12 tabs open), it locked up my browser for more than a minute. - by Firefox user 15336261, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5Hi!
At first few weeks this add-on worked excellent.
Now, it doesn't. Usually, I have to reopen Mozzila app to make Dark Reader active.
I'm using Samsung A70 Android smartphone, and I update Mozilla regulary.
Do I have to update some other app or apps or system (which is google's) automatically? Or do I have to pay for comfort use of Dark Reader? Or this plug-in is not developing anymore?
If I have to, what's the point...? Can you give me, please, link to some other plug-in with functional dark reading mode for web?
Or do I have to stop update anything? I mean, I'm not complicated user, I can use Android 4 or 5, whatever...
Best regards!
- by Firefox user 13178931, 3 years agoRated 3 out of 5Is it normal to notice that web pages take a little longer to load? When I deactivate the complement I see that it returns to normal. I use it in conjunction with uBlock Origin and Poper Blocker.

- by karwan00, 3 years agoRated 3 out of 5Dobry, a nawet może być najlepszy, gdy zostanie poprawiony czas wczytywania stron w przeglądarce. Jednym słowem zwalnia Firefox.
- by Firefox user 13119730, 3 years agoRated 3 out of 5This is the ONLY way to get all the buttons in GMAIL to show up properly when you hover over them. Friggin great, so far.
edit: it is slow beyond belief on some sites. reddit is totally unusable. my PC is very capable - i7, 32gbram, 1tb NVME. this is going downhill
