- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17966179, a month agoIt would be useful if the context menu for this function in text fields could be turned off as an option.
The nature of this extension is such that it would be sufficient if it could be used in either the copying or pasting phase at one time, so it would be nice if it could be turned off with the option to select either one. I think it would be good if it appeared only in basic copying situations.
Or maybe it would be nice to be able to change the text in the clipboard by clicking a button on the toolbar
Well, either way, unfortunately I won't be able to use this feature unless I can figure out how to put a space at the beginning of a line
I thought it was, but it works pretty well.
I'd definitely find it useful if you could automatically put a space at the beginning of the next sentence after a sentence that's broken up by a new line.
If there's a way to do that, let me know.

It's true that if you want to get support or have a discussion, it might be better to do it in a dedicated place.
But writing complaints and requests in reviews is also a good way to share that kind of information among users, so I guess it's not a bad idea to kill two birds with one stone - Rated 5 out of 5by DevDoctor, 2 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Max, 7 months agoI've been using this for years, it's saved me hours of my life. With the latest update, however, the plain text pastes with manual line breaks instead of normal paragraph ends. Unless there's a setting for that? It's a minor thing. Also, I wish there was a way for "Copy Plain Text" to be the default, instead of having to right click and scroll for the option. Seems to me it used to be that way.

posted 7 months agoIt is not possible for an extension to take over the default copy behavior of Firefox. AFA the line breaks, please post to the support for further discussion and investigation. - Rated 5 out of 5by Wooza, 8 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by r. Nick, 8 months agoNot that far back, Copy Plain Text was simple to use. Just high lite an item, click, and on the drop down menu, click on "Copy Plain Text." Bam! Done deal. It is apparent that many new features have been added. However, for the unwashed masses, it is now unusable. A pity; it was great while it lasted. But, progress goes on, leaving the laggards behind. I am wondering, can that simple feature be added to the new format?

posted 8 months agoIt still does the basic function that it used to do. The new features are EXTRA functions on top of the basic ones. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18021581, 8 months ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Rajpaul Bagga, 9 months agoWas nice, but the latest update requires a new permission to access "all_urls" which is very wide open. The author gives a reason, but to me that reason isn't good enough and I would like to be able to disable that functionality and not grant that one permission. I can't do that.
The source code does not appear to be open source (I can't find it) so am not able to trust the author with that much information.Developer response
posted 9 months agoThe source code is open source and inspectable by downloading and opening the xpi (zip). The permission was added due to users' report of failing to get text in iframes. Once the Firefox bug is fixed, the extra permission will be removed.
Users can continue using v1.13 if they are not content with the extra permission.
