- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15095017, 3 days agoWhat a dumb interface. You need to make it LOUD & CLEAR what each button does. I just erased all the cookies for all of my website logins ever because the stupid drop-down menu of the "Clean" button decided to wipe out everything and not just the cookies for the site I was on. Stupid. Nowhere in any app/ext/software is something that detrimental so easy to do with the click-of-a-button, for good reason. There was no warning at all. Clearing the cookies for the current site should stand alone as it's the most common function for the average user, period. Not an opinion.
- Rated 1 out of 5by AcecardflipsHatsdownmix, 2 months agoI am very sorry to say your addon sketches up an autodelete operation set up within settings, then the simulation goes further into popping up a notification saying cookies were cleaned, but then I use another method of cookies detection and I find them all there, tens of them and i clear them manually myself. I had to remove your mind manipulation scheme. Thank you for the big show. At least your addon knew to say is active and collecting my data.
- Rated 1 out of 5by zeblur, 3 months agoNot work recently. When I left steam, etc., cookies were not cleared. This is not safe for me.
- Rated 1 out of 5by simlock, 4 months agoDiese Erweiterung wurde schon lange nicht mehr aktualisiert und funktioniert mit einer aktuellen Version von Firefox nicht mehr wie erwartet.
This extension has not been updated in a long time and no longer works as expected with a current version of Firefox. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18105280, 4 months agoIt does not work for me. cookies from sites not in the whitelist are not deleted when firefox is restared.
- Rated 1 out of 5by fallout11, 5 months agoYet another abandoned Firefox Add-on. Hasn't been updated since 2022. No longer works.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18332154, 6 months agoAgree with the last review, it's a shame as it used to be a good add.on but now it's hardly doing anything. Go to your Firefox settings and check your cookie data.
I hope someone will take it over. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14596801, 6 months agoABANDONWARE! As of writing this review this addon has not been updated since December 2022.
The issue? The intended functionality is that this addon deletes all cookies from websites that aren't whitelisted. It does not do that! Cookies from many websites will still be saved on your system.
As such, this addon is non-functional and fails to do the one thing you'd want from it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Bernard, 7 months agoLove it. BUT, I would like a white list or an 'allow' function, for websites where I want to keep cookies. But for pages I don't trust and new pages I visit, this is essential.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14504398, 8 months agoI can't find the exceptions file. I am tired of having to use 2FA on frequently used accounts when nobody else uses my computer and I have LastPass with hard passwords. I want to make Google and Faceboook exceptions, along with others. There used to be a way. I don't need to have ALL cookies deleted.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12680106, 10 months agoUnfortunately not working, i.e. does not delete cookies.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Hon_ka, 10 months agoEasily FIVE STARS. A year or a year and a half ago........
This was a fantastic addon in the past. It worked like a charm and did everything that it was supposed to be.
Unfortunately, now it does nothing. It shows the cookies getting deleted, the other options getting cleaned and yet it does nothing.
This addon needs an update. December 8th 2022 was a long time ago and many, many firefox versions back. Please update it or tell us honestly that it won't be fixed anytime soon. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18140895, 10 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Murphy625, a year agoAbsolute Garbage. It's a cookie delete add-on that does NOT delete any cookies. Completely useless. It doesn't delete cookies on any computer I added it to.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Elfchen, a year agoWirkt bei mir überhaupt nicht, darf jede aufgerufene Seite von Hand anklicken. Deinstalliert.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17909958, a year agoDefinitely 1 star, it does not work at all as advertised with following browsers:
1. Official Firefox with [FPI enabled] & [Always use Private Browsing mode on]
2. Tor Browser
I just want an add-on which deletes cookies after several seconds after I close tab EXCEPT some domains I whitelist. Now this addon, Cookie AutoDelete, blindly ignore my whitelist settins and always show Cookies were deleted popup. I am 100% certain my whitelist settings are correct and I already took 2 hours to search through Github issues.
Developer of this add-on need to test with Tor Browser or Firefox+FPI in the first place. - Rated 1 out of 5by Ellie, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13329700, a year agoFirefox just disabled this add-on saying it's not verified and could pose a risk to my security. Don't know if it's true but it got blocked so i uninstalled it.
Developer response
posted a year agoSorry to hear about that. Last I checked on desktop versions it shows up fine and still recommended. If using firefox mobile, you'll need to follow some additional instructions to have it available on the addon store as the mobile addon selection is still very limited. - Rated 1 out of 5by desze, 2 years agoThis extension completely broke my Firefox, every single website stopped working after installing this extension, I can't even browse any website because nothing will load properly.
Edit: This extension broke my whole profile, not just the browser, I had to completely uninstall Firefox and prevent sync from automatically downloading my extensions (sync wasn't downloading this extension at all), after that, I had to manually download every extension I had, as well as rewrite all of my chrome.css and content.css code. I have no idea how this extension managed to break my profile but it did.Developer response
posted 2 years agoI'm not entirely sure how the webextension would break your profile unfortunately. This webextension doesn't do anything on its own until you configure and activate it. There are also warnings about enabling non-cookie site data cleanups (cache, indexedDB, localstorage, service workers) should you choose to enable it. The webextension doesn't utilize any configuration sync yet, so you would have had to export from the old device and reimport the configuration manually. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14497089, 2 years agoUse Firefox forget instead.
You should restart Firefox every time you delete cookies.
Private windows? nope. deletes all cookies from Firefox entirely!Developer response
posted 2 years agoThis web extension requires some configuration before enabling it to ensure the cookies and other browsing site data you want to keep is configured. All other non-configured items are removed, as that is the primary function of this web extension. If you want to only delete cookies from private browsing mode, add a wildcard '*' whitelist entry for all other containers.
While we are able to delete a few items from Private Windows, you will need to ensure you allow this web extension to operate in Private Browsing mode.
