by Firefox user 10700314, 2 years agoIt doesn't work anymore. It hasn't blocked anything in a long time. It used to show what it blocked, but now it shows it's enabled, but it's not blocking anything. I don't know what they've done to it, but it's broken. I've had to start using a different ad blocker and that works ok - at least it blocks. But I miss this one.
Last night after posting this I went to Adguard settings and noticed everything was toggled to off. The extension itself was enabled, but no filters were turned on. So I turned them on and it started blocking again. However...Tonight I noticed that once again, AdGuard is enabled, but not blocking. So I went to its settings and everything was turned off - and I did NOT do that. I live alone. No one has been in my home. All I have done is to wake my computer up from sleep and I think I restarted it once. WHY would these settings toggle themselves off when either the computer sleeps or is restarted? I'm not going to check every single time, but this sounds hinky. I have no malware or viruses on my computer, I've cleared cookies and cache, I'm at a loss to explain it. But it's messed up. I have two other adblockers and neither one of them does this.
