- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17755722, a year agoTouch ID for FF on MacOS quit working at latest update to extension. This is 2023, and problem has been reported back to 2021 and in 2022. Can chase your tail in circle, turning things on and off and rebooting. This is an ongoing unfixed problem for 1Password, which says something not about stupid users, but about company competency and intent.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17105196, a year agoI liked it better when the 1Password icon would show up and I could simply click. Now, I must copy and paste my password.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17652717, 2 years agoI like using One Password for my password creation/storage however my browser in Firefox and every time Firefox installs an upgrade I am unable to open One Password. As a result, I can't open any of the websites whose passwords have been generated by One Password. I haven't been able to find a fix for this issue so am locked out of many of these websites.

posted a year agoHey there! We're sorry for the trouble. If you completely close and re-open your browser after an upgrade as been installed, this should get things back into working order. If not, send us an email at support@1password.com and we'd be happy to get to the bottom of things with you. - Rated 3 out of 5by Julian Borg-Barthet, 2 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17598660, 2 years agoI like 1password, and this iteration removes one button click to get to a password and makes it easier to edit or add logins from the extension. But, it asks you to save nearly every field to 1Password which is infuriating UI experience as it covers adjacent fields.

If you send us an email at support@1password.com, our team would love to hear more about the things you had trouble with or didn't find quite right. - Rated 3 out of 5by Jasha, 2 years agoThe latest major release is a mess. The plugin tries on way too many input fields to suggest 1Password entries. For example, on the site of a railway company, it wants to complete the input fields for departure and destination stations.
Using the browser's autosuggested values for previously entered values are inaccessible with the keyboard because it prefers to go through the items in 1Password even when I don't need to enter my credentials or payment details. Combined with the urge to pop up in completely irrelevant input fields, it wants me to go back to the previous version.
Ironically it did not see the password fields in the sign up form to create a Firefox account to write this review.Developer response

It would be preferable to just tell the user to restart 1password because it's stuck...Developer response

- Rated 3 out of 5by markus, 3 years agoNew Firefox Browser PlugIn don't work correctly. Don't find my passwords. I don't need new Browser PlugIn – I just need the correct Password. It was a good program until yesterday. As of today it's unfortunately bullshit. Hope there is a downgrade soon
Developer response
posted 3 years agoHey markus,
1Password in the browser works directly with your 1Password.com account and the vaults within it. If you still have local/standalone vaults in the desktop app, their content will not show up in this extension.
There are two routes to choose from here:
- You can migrate your local vault(s) into your 1Password.com account, which will solve the issue.
- You can revert back to the 1Password Classic extension that still works with standalone vaults.
We’d love to help you and guide you with these options, so feel free to email us to support+x@1password.com and we’ll get you up and running in no time. - Rated 3 out of 5by leilabd, 3 years agoHave just reverted to the classic extension for Firefox 94.0.1 on Windows 10 21H1. I just can't get the form fill to work using this extension. For an example go to the Thunderbird donation site (https://give.thunderbird.net/en-GB/card/single/?source_page_id=51¤cy=gbp&amount=10) and try to get it to fill your credit card details in, hopeless. The classic extension just does it.

posted 3 years agoHey leilabd,
We’ve tested the link you sent here and 1Password seems to be autofilling things quite well. You do need to autofill the first part of the page (personal details) with an identity item, and the 2nd part of the page (payment details) with a credit card item, but it all fills out as it should.
If you’re still encountering this issue or if you’d like to troubleshoot it to be able to enjoy 1Password in the browser instead of 1Password Classic, please email us to support+x@1password.com and we’ll be happy to troubleshoot this with you, getting your credit cards and identity items to autofill perfectly on this website and any other website you experienced problems with.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
The 1Password team. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15703144, 3 years ago1Password is a fantastic app in virtually all aspects (it's my favourite Mac app). Unfortunately, though, its Firefox extension gives me endless hassles whenever there is a 1Password upgrade. Occasionally, I have problems with the Firefox extension for no apparent reason at all. Fortunately, I have the desktop Mac app as a fallback when this happens, it is annoying though.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review!
Updates should not break your experience, though we did encounter some instances where they did in the past. Usually a simple restart to your browser and the 1Password app should do the trick!
If you’re encountering this issue constantly and often, we’ll want to take a better look at your setup and see if there are any outstanding issues there that we can address to improve your experience.
Feel free to email us at support+x@1passsword.com with all the details so we can investigate and help in any way we can! - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17080576, 3 years ago
