by RoninOfstag, 4 years agoDecent, so far. TYSM for having this available!
Unfortunately it's a bit glitchy on Facebook IM, though (but so far perfectly OK on FB as a whole, Dark Mode or not). If you have Facebook's internally-built Dark Mode on as well as this extension on, the only way you can BARELY read your IM text is if you change the "theme" colour to a gradient (even then it is pretty hard to read).
Otherwise if your IM "theme" is anything else BESIDES a gradient, your background goes transparent and you can hardly read a thing that is written or outputted in the output window via the IM"s text field input, because all of the other text "underneath" shows plain through. So everything you type and see outputted, gets all garbled up in your output window, as well as your input text field.
Otherwise, looks great globally on other sites...like Google.ca (etc.), for now. Happy to keep you posted if any other glitches turn up. Thank you SO MUCH FOR HAVING THIS, btw! My existing on and off migraines will GRACIOUSLY appreciate this! <3 ,\m/
Looking forward to seeing the FB IM glitches fixed, soon.
Cheers and all of the best to everyone in the developing world out there!
Hope to be able to join you all some day, once I'm done with or able to take a significant break, from sewing masks.

- Rated 5 out of 5by SailAway, a month agoworks nice and easy. No weird colors like some other add-ons. Though none work on the add-ons page

- Rated 4 out of 5by Paul, 4 months agoEfficient and clean design, the best dark mode add-on when it comes to the minimalist icon that also functions as a on/off switch. Good presets as well. BUT it still lacks some refinement: adding exceptions is rather difficult to do (no shortcut), also on some pages like BBC the images are gone. Still Ive got to say that i had more problems with other dark modes so far, which either interfered with other extensions or caused other/ similar problems, so i will stick to it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18130214, 6 months agoway better than dark reader, this should be the most popular addon for this! i just wish the whitelist could work the other way around, enabling dark mode only for certain sites
- Rated 5 out of 5by RinnovaRaine, 6 months agoThis is the best add-on I've found for doing this. My only wish is that turning it on wasn't global. I only want to turn it on for the page I'm currently viewing, not all pages. I have many pages that already have dark mode and they work great. Adding this add-on to them makes them look weird.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Franz107, 6 months agoI guess the negative reviews come from competitor apps with payment barriers. The app is perfect and adjustable, thanks for keeping it free!!!
- Rated 4 out of 5by slideaway, 8 months agoI find this add-on works kinda opposite to the way I want it to. I don't want a whitelist for sites to not use it on, I want a whitelist for site to use on. There are so many site that have native dark mode that a global setting is too obtrusive for the volume of different sites I might visit in a day. It works well for what it does though.
