Chainlink Browser Extension

This is the companion extension for Chainlink (https://chainlink.markushofstetter.com), a self-hosted bookmark manager. It connects to your own Chainlink instance and lets you interact with your bookmark collection without leaving the current page.

Save bookmarks
- One-click save from the browser popup — title and URL are pre-filled from the active tab
- Domain-only mode: save just the origin instead of the full URL
- Add a description and assign the bookmark to a folder
- Right-click any page or link to save via the context menu

Tag suggestions
- Built-in rules automatically suggest tags based on the URL (e.g. dev, staging, prod, local)
- Custom auto-tag rules configured in the web app are also applied in the extension
- Accept all suggestions or pick individual ones; new tags are created automatically

Browse your collection
- Search bookmarks by title, URL, description, or tag name
- Filter by tags and folders
- Detects if the current page is already bookmarked
- Click a bookmark to open it; clicks are tracked for your stats

Self-hosted
- The extension connects to your own Chainlink API — no third-party services involved
- Configure the API URL and web app URL in the extension options page
- Supports any self-hosted Chainlink instance
