Spotlight for YNAB is a fast, keyboard-first account switcher for the YNAB web app.

Open it with Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux, Cmd+K on macOS, your own custom shortcut, or a quick double-tap of Shift.

Highlights:
• Find Cash, Credit, Loans, Tracking, and Closed accounts with fast, typo-friendly search
• Jump back to any of your five most recently opened accounts
• See YNAB account types, starred favorites, and closed status at a glance
• Optionally show always-current balances while respecting YNAB's hidden-balance setting
• Navigate without a page reload in an interface that follows YNAB's light and dark themes

Spotlight for YNAB is a local-only Firefox Manifest V3 extension for the YNAB web app.

The submitted package contains the complete, readable source code. It does not use code generators, minifiers, bundlers, template engines, remote scripts, or remote code.

The content script runs only on https://app.ynab.com/* and reads account information already rendered in the signed-in YNAB sidebar. The background script only forwards toolbar-action clicks to the active YNAB tab.

The extension stores settings, recent account IDs, and its account cache locally in the browser. It makes no external network requests, uses no analytics, collects no telemetry, and does not access YNAB through an API.

The Firefox manifest declares data_collection_permissions.required as ["none"]. A signed-in YNAB account is required to test the account-search functionality; the extension does not request, store, or transmit login credentials.

There are no known issues at this time.
