ProofScout is a privacy-first page assistant that helps people inspect online opportunities and diagnose website problems without leaving the page they are viewing.

Opportunity Inspector

Checks visible page wording for suspicious upfront fees, prize-release payments, requests for passwords or one-time codes, artificial urgency, guaranteed outcomes, private-agent pressure and contradictory “free entry” claims. Every finding includes a clear explanation rather than an unexplained score.

URL Inspector

Examines the current address for unencrypted connections, encoded or look-alike domains, raw IP addresses, unusually deep subdomains, excessive hyphens, suspicious trust words and unusual network ports.

Bug Doctor

Diagnoses broken images, insecure forms and resources, duplicate element IDs, missing labels, unnamed buttons and links, unsafe new-tab links, skipped heading levels, missing page-language declarations and missing mobile viewport settings. ProofScout can highlight affected elements directly on the page.

Users can also ask ProofScout to read the result aloud using browser speech synthesis. Voice commands are available when supported by the browser.

All inspection happens locally on the user’s device. ProofScout does not upload page text, browsing history, URLs or inspection results. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, remote AI service or page-content server.

ProofScout is a screening and development aid. It does not guarantee that a website is legitimate, secure or free from bugs.
