    Randomly opens new tabs advertising ABP premium. IT LITERALLY DOES THE THING IT'S SUPPOSED TO PREVENT. Fuck this garbage extension made by idiots.

    This used to be great but nope I'm done, the random spammy popup tabs pestering me for money are getting out of hand. It happens multiple times per week (same browser, same device), it disrupts my work flow, and is more annoying and intrusive than the ads that it's blocking. Moving to ublock because I'm just not going to support a company that spams their users.

    We are updating the extension, therefore a popup might appear (it will only happen once per browser/device), but you can simply close it and continue browsing.     A few years ago, absolute 10/5. It no longer blocks Twitch ads and hasn't for a very long time, and now it's failing to block YouTube ads. The ads themselves on YouTube don't play, but once you click on the video you have to wait for a while then the ads seem to be over and you have to click play again. Also I'm getting new window pop ups recently that instantly get blocked from view, but the window still shows up. Seems they've given up on this addon.

    I cannot recommend this add-on. Cancelling a subscription appears impossible, short of closing the funding bank account.

    The monthly payment receipt only has links for their payment partner, Paddle.

    There is no pathway to login to the Adblock Plus account to cancel paid subscription. Trying to log into the Adblock Plus account returns an 'incorrect password' error, and no emails are received when the 'reset password' instructions are followed.

    Do not install this, and if you have already installed it, do not pay for it. If they were confident that their product was good enough to keep you wanting more, they would make it easy to cancel the subscription. Instead, they have created one of the most difficult cancellation processes I've ever encountered.

    It's been some time since, for some reason, it stopped working as intended, not sure if it's a way of pushing us into paying the "Pemium" feature. Now I've been using uBlock Origin and that one works flawlessly.

    You shouldn't be seeing ads, regardless if you pay for Premium or not.     Twitch goes to great lengths to ensure that their ads remain unblocked, and they have an entire department dedicated to circumventing ad blockers. We're just a tiny team and it's been tough to work against our well-financed opponents. That said, we're constantly on the lookout for ways to make ABP better and continue to look for ways to get around Twitch's enormous ad blocking circumvention efforts.

    Not working on Youtube anymore. Will skip ads but Youtube detects it and blocks videos from playing. Adblock Plus on Opera does not have this problem with Youtube.

    I actually logged in just so that I could review ABP, that's how annoyed I am at it these days. It used to be the premier ad-block extension on the internet, but that was maybe 15 years ago. Over the last few years its declined in efficacy as well as becoming increasingly obtrusive. I'm sick and tired of opening up a new tab, only to have ABP trigger its advertisement tab begging me for money. It happens very regularly, sometimes several times within the same session.

    I'm sick of it. I'm switching off of ABP. The last thing I wanted out of adblocker software is to make my own workflow inconvenient by introducing its own advertisements that are even more invasive than the ads it claims to block.

    There are other, better, fish in the sea. Thanks for the good years, feels bad that you guys forced it in this direction.

    I used to love this extension but once they started getting greedy and allowing ads in YouTube videos to get users to pay for premium I removed the extension and started using uBlock Origin instead, it works much better.

    Until today, I've relied on ABP to hide elements that cause photogenic seizures. Today, ABP seems to have changed & I can no longer choose elements to block for myself. That makes ABP worthless to me, so I guess — after all these years of ABP helping me use the internet safely — I need to find a better option that will protect me. Thanks for selling out, ABP.

    I'm removing this extension because it has become predatory.
    "✓ Block annoying ads and popups"
    actually
    "✓ Adds regularly appearing new tabs annoying ads and popups to get you to pay for the pro version of this extension."

    When opening a new tab, this plugin now opens a SECOND new browser tab and asks you to pay every 2 weeks or more. I do not tolerate this kind of B***S****
