Heka protects sensitive information in the Firefox recordings you choose to make.

A screen recording cannot reliably tell which part of a page is a password, payment, or identity field. During a recording you start, this extension gives the Heka app on the same Mac the page structure and geometry needed to protect those areas before upload.

The extension cannot start a recording. It stays dormant when the Heka app is not recording, stores no browser history, and makes no web requests. Passwords and text entered into form controls are withheld. Firefox private windows are not accessible to the extension.

Required page-content and activity data is sent only to the local Heka native app while recording. Optional technical data can be declined during install or changed later in Firefox settings without stopping recording or core browser protection.

Requires Heka for Mac and Firefox desktop 140 or newer.
