YouTube Speed Toggle adds a simple keyboard shortcut for changing YouTube playback speed.

Press the backtick key (`) to toggle between normal speed and a configurable faster speed. Hold the same key to temporarily switch to an even higher speed, then release it to restore the previous speed.

Features:

• Tap ` to toggle between 1x and a configurable speed
• Hold ` for temporary high-speed playback
• Configure toggle and hold speeds from the toolbar popup
• Show a small in-player toast when the speed changes
• Disable or enable the shortcut from the popup

The shortcut only activates on YouTube video pages and avoids text fields, textareas, and editable elements.

This extension stores preferences locally in the browser and does not collect, transmit, or sell user data. It does not make network requests and does not use analytics or telemetry.
