YouTube Keep Playing is a lightweight, privacy-first Firefox extension for people who watch or listen to YouTube for long periods.

When YouTube presents a recognized inactivity confirmation, the extension handles that specific inactivity episode and resumes playback only when there is positive inactivity evidence. A video being paused by itself is never enough to trigger playback, so intentional pauses remain under the user's control.

While protection is enabled, the extension also hides the recognized YouTube pre-pause inactivity warning notification. Unrelated YouTube notifications are left untouched.

The extension includes a simple enable/disable control, local diagnostics, and aggregate Protected interruptions statistics for Lifetime, Today, the last 7 days, and the current Firefox session.

Privacy and security are core design goals:
- no telemetry or analytics;
- no remote code;
- no accounts or backend service;
- no automatic transmission of diagnostics or browsing data;
- only the Firefox storage permission;
- access limited to https://www.youtube.com/*.

Diagnostics and statistics remain local in Firefox. No video titles, watch URLs, account identifiers, browsing history, playback position, cookies, or authentication data are intentionally stored or transmitted.

The extension also provides explicit user-initiated support tools, including a sanitized support report, local JSON export, and a Contact Support action.

An optional PayPal donation link is available in the popup. Donations are entirely optional and unlock no functionality.

YouTube Music are not extension features for now.
