A free PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser. Fill in PDF forms, annotate documents, add your signature and print, without sending a single file to anyone.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Type anywhere on a PDF. Choose the font, size, colour, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough, or put a coloured background behind your text.
• Write in a handwriting font when a form should look filled in by hand rather than typed.
• Drag out a text box for longer notes and let the words wrap inside it.
• Fill in forms and paperwork on screen instead of printing them out and writing by hand.
• Select words on the page and highlight, underline or strike them through in one click.
• Highlight text by dragging across it, in any colour.
• Draw freehand with the pen, for a circled figure or a scribbled note in the margin.
• Draw rectangles, circles, lines and arrows to mark up a page.
• Add tick and cross marks for quick approvals.
• Sign PDFs. Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen, or upload a photo of your signature on paper and have the background removed automatically.
• Search the whole document with Ctrl+F, however many pages it has.
• Undo and redo, rotate the view, zoom, and clear everything in one click.

BUILT FOR REAL DOCUMENTS

• Opens documents with thousands of pages without slowing down, because only the pages near your screen are rendered.
• Your notes are written into the PDF as real text and real vector shapes, not as a screenshot, so printed output stays sharp at any size.
• Password-protected PDFs are supported. You are asked for the password, then you can annotate as usual. Saving writes an unlocked copy: the password and restrictions are removed from that file. Save shows a one-time warning before the download. Printing decrypts the PDF in memory for the print dialog; it does not download a file.
• Notes are saved automatically and come back the next time you open the same document.
