Creé esta extensión principalmente por una necesidad propia, ya que quise cambiarme de navegador para quedarme para siempre con Firefox, debido a la comodidad que este ofrece tras sus actualizaciones. Sin embargo, al buscar extensiones de WhatsApp Web en Firefox, sentía que las experiencias que brindaban no se comparaban al nivel obtenido en el navegador anterior que usaba. Así que me vi obligado a crear una extensión propia, donde incluí algunas de las funciones que utilizaba antes y agregué algunas novedades para diferenciarme. Espero que les guste; además, yo mismo la usaré frecuentemente.
¿Por qué decidí que sea una burbuja y no una extensión en la barra lateral? Debido a que la barra lateral es una aplicación que ahorra recursos, pero cierra WhatsApp Web por completo, por lo que nunca te llegarán las notificaciones de mensajes. A diferencia de mantenerlo como una burbuja: esta es una pestaña que quedará activa siempre, y podrás enterarte de cuántos chats tienes pendientes sin leer, sin importar si está minimizada o no.

I created this extension primarily out of personal necessity. I wanted to switch browsers and settle permanently with Firefox, given how comfortable it has become after its recent updates. However, when looking for WhatsApp Web extensions on Firefox, I felt that none of the available options came close to the experience I had with my previous browser. This prompted me to build my own extension, incorporating some of the features I relied on before while also adding new ones to set it apart. I hope you enjoy it — I'll also be using it regularly myself.
Why did I decide to make it a bubble rather than a sidebar extension? Because the sidebar is a resource-saving feature, but it closes WhatsApp Web entirely, meaning you will never receive message notifications. Keeping it as a bubble, on the other hand, means it runs as a tab that stays active at all times — allowing you to see how many unread chats you have pending, regardless of whether it is minimized or not.
